How to Use This 2025 Printable Calendar
The Year in Numbers
2025 is a common year of 365 days, which works out to 52 weeks plus one extra day. It begins on Wednesday, January 1 and ends on Wednesday, December 31, so Wednesday is the only weekday that appears 53 times. That leaves 104 weekend days, 261 weekdays, and — after the eleven federal holidays are removed — 250 federal working days. February has 28 days, since 2025 is not a leap year. Those numbers are the honest baseline for any annual plan: roughly five working days a week for fifty weeks, minus the holidays.
The Federal Holidays of 2025
Eleven dates close federal offices, banks, and post offices this year, and their weekday placement varies more than people expect:
- New Year's Day — Wednesday, January 1
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day — Monday, January 20
- Presidents' Day — Monday, February 17
- Memorial Day — Monday, May 26
- Juneteenth — Thursday, June 19
- Independence Day — Friday, July 4
- Labor Day — Monday, September 1
- Columbus Day — Monday, October 13
- Veterans Day — Tuesday, November 11
- Thanksgiving — Thursday, November 27
- Christmas Day — Thursday, December 25
Six of the eleven fall on a Monday or a Friday and therefore extend a weekend. The remaining five — New Year's Day, Juneteenth, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day — land mid-week and break the week instead.
How the Months Differ in Capacity
Working-day counts vary more across the year than most annual plans assume. January offers 21 federal working days after its two holidays. March is the largest uninterrupted month of the first quarter with 22 weekdays and no closures. November is the thinnest month of the fourth quarter once Veterans Day and Thanksgiving are removed, and December loses Christmas on top of that. A plan that distributes work evenly across months will run short in November and long in March and October, which together carry the highest working-day totals of the autumn.
Planning the Year in Four Passes
An annual calendar is most useful when it is filled in layers rather than all at once:
- Fixed dates first: holidays, school terms, recurring obligations, and any date that cannot move. These define the shape of the year.
- Deadlines second: tax dates, renewal dates, contract dates, and anything with an external clock. Write them in ink.
- Seasonal work third: the tasks that belong to particular months — tax preparation in February and March, school logistics in May and August, year-end close in November and December.
- Everything else last: what remains is capacity, and it is smaller than it looks once the first three passes are complete.
Monthly Pages, Not Just the Year View
A single-page year calendar is good for seeing the whole span at once, but it is too small to plan inside. The practical combination is to keep this 2025 printable calendar for the annual view and print the individual month for whichever period is currently active, replacing it as each month ends. The monthly pages carry the day counts, the first weekday, and the federal dates for that month, so nothing has to be calculated from the year sheet.
Printing the Whole Year
Everything on this page is designed for standard paper. The year overview fits one sheet of A4 or US Letter, and each of the twelve months fits its own, so a full set prints as thirteen pages in black and white or color. Use the print button for an immediate copy, or download the PDF if you would rather print later, keep an archive, or hand a printed set to someone else planning the same twelve months.

How many working days does 2025 have?
There are 261 weekdays in the year. Removing the eleven federal holidays leaves 250 federal working days, spread unevenly across the months.
Is 2025 a leap year?
No. 2025 is a common year of 365 days, so February has 28 days and there is no February 29 to account for.
How many federal holidays fall on a Monday in 2025?
Five: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Columbus Day. Independence Day falls on a Friday, so six holidays extend a weekend in total.
